I am an expatriot living in Canada, the Greater Toronto Area, with my wife. We have become permanent residents and both enjoy being here. I work as a General Manager for an advertising display company based out of Winston-Salem North Carolina.

As for my career as an author, that is a story that has only just begun. I am an author of historical fantasy and thrillers. My current manuscript (not posted on this site) won the 2008 Rupert Hughes award in Hawaii. I have attended the Maui Writers Conference for the past six years and have studied at the MWC Retreat for three of those years. I credit NY Times bestselling author, John Lescroart, for transforming a novice into a wordsmith. I have also attended Bob Mayer's retreat at Hilton Head, Writer's Digest Editor's Intensive at their headquarters in Cincinnati, and Fiction Writer's Bootcamp in Toronto.

As for the most significant thing I've learned over the past years, there is a big world out there of which the U.S. is just a
small part of (albeit, a major influence on the whole.) Get out and see it. Get out and understand how America relates to other parts of the world and help to restore the America of our grandfathers.

Writing has brought me friendships all over the world and along with those ties, a greater understanding of our place on this Earth.

Some of my beliefs:

Recycle, conserve, and help prevent whale hunting. My hope is that one day we will have a president without
feeling the need to point out his/her race. We have a female Governor General of Canada, and she just happens to be black,
though no one here even thought enough about her colour to report it. Also, we all need to believe in some form of higher power.
We all didn't spontaneously erupt out of a vacuum after all.

And read more books!
