BEFORE CAMELOT

Synopsis

Some say that the storytellers have chronicled all the tales of Camelot. They would be wrong because one has remained hidden—the untold story of Guinevere and Merlin’s ill fated love, a union that threatened the rise of Camelot.

When an invasion leaves her father slain, her kingdom in ruin, and her people scattered, Guinevere flees across the British Sea to the land of Cornwall. There she encounters a perplexing man, Merlin Caledonensis, young in appearance, old in manner, a wielder of both magic and sword. The two embark on a quest to reclaim her land, a journey that sees them grow from companions to friends to lovers.

Prophecies of old come to bear and she is faced with a choice: to follow her desires and allow Britannia to enter into decades of dark warfare, or to sacrifice her love for Merlin and lead all Britons into an age of light—because an idea that begins with a whisper may one day roar across the centuries.
